2011 Volkswagen Jetta recall due to horn fault
Volkswagen America has issued a recall on the Volkswagen Jetta, this will involve 71,043 units which will require rewiring due to the engine turning off after the horn has been blasted.
Volkswagen has stated that the fault is due to a wiring problem between the horn and anti-theft system, they have also claimed that no injuries or accidents have been reported as a result of this problem.
Volkswagen made this statement:
“The recall affects sixth generation Jetta sedan vehicles built between March of 2010 and March of 2011,”.
“Affected owners will be notified via first class mail regarding the corrective measures and anticipated repair timeline.”
