A look back at the golden era of Formula one: Video

by

We have another blast from the past for this week, this time we take a look back at the golden era of F1 racing, when the sport had so much more adrenaline and pilots pushed themselves and their machines to the absolute limits.

I know Formula 1 is much safer nowadays and we have some really good drivers today like Sebastian Vettel, Fernando Alonso Lewis Hamilton and many more but I have to confess that I have lost a certain amount of interest in the sport these past few years. I think what killed it for me is seeing pilots allowing there team mates to pass and take the flag just to gain points, where is the passion gone? Where is the thrill of pushing yourself to be number 1?
Back in the 80s, you would never have seen Aryton Senna pulling over and allowing his team mate to win, that was an era when racing was at its best and most exciting.

Watch the video below taking a look back at the golden age of Formula one racing, a time when racing was dangerous and champions reigned.
