Bugster, a car made from Beetle and Boxster parts
An Austrian car tuner by the name of Siegfried Rudolf has created a unique car which was built using the parts from a 1973 Volkswagen Beetle and a 2000 Porsche Boxster and its been given the name Bugster.
The man behind the Bugster actually owns a tunning shop, CarMaxx which specializes in customizing and restoring VWs and Porsches. Siegfried came up the idea for the Bugster after he parked his tuned 73 Bug next to his wife’s Boxster and noticed the two cars shared a remarkably similar wheelbase.
So Rudolf went to work to create his masterpiece, after chopping up the two cars he fitted the shell of the Beetle to the Boxster floorpan and crafted custom fenders to house the 18-inch wheels. An adjustable suspension was fitted and the body kept the Beetle door panels, crank windows, and glass.
The Bugster interior is mixture of Bug and boxster parts and the finished result is 270 hp Beetle that handles like a dream.
