Camera Shows What A F1 Driver Sees While Racing – Video

by

For the first time ever a mini eye-level camera has been attached to an F1 pilot’s helmet to give us a look at what a Formula one racer actually sees during a race.

The video was filmed from a Toyota F1 car during a test run around Barcelona’s Circuit de Catalunya and the pilot, Lucas Di Grassi was only able to drive with one eye as the minicam was blocking his other eye’s vision.

Chris’ Thoughts

This is a great opportunity to see racing from a Formula one pilot’s view. It’s a shame the driver couldn’t push the car to the limits but then again it was probably because the camera was covering half his face.
