Chevrolet Camaro Rat Rod – Cool or Crazy?

by

Two friends Bill Rombauts and Dave Sherer decided to give a brand new Chevrolet Camaro a unique look by turning it into a rat rod. The friend duo gave the muscle car a feathered and rust look and also spent almost $100,000 on upgrading the cars power and performance.

Sitting underneath the rusted bonnet is a tunned up, supercharged 485-cubic-inch V8 based on a GM Performance Parts block. The car’s power has been increased to around 1000hp and Bill Rombauts and Dave Sherer have stated that they are aiming to hit a 10 second quarter mile run.

What do you think of the Chevrolet Camaro Rat Rod, Cool or Crazy? Let us know below.

Love Rat Rods and Camaros but I don’t know that I have the balls for this. Way cool though, enjoy slaying snakes with this sleeping beauty!

I agree with you Willie! I would’ve done this to an older Camaro, but not to a new one, just to prove a point.

im sorry but im a real rat rodder with a real ratty car lol and the point of a rat rod is to use as less money and old vintage parts as possible and still have an awsome car and i just think that this car goes against everything that defines a rat rod so im sorry but i do not agree with this i think it is a disgrace with the enitre history of hot rodding and rat rods

I LOVE it! I really dig rusty rat rods and their stripped-down uniqueness and individuality. I have been thinking of how I can turn my 92 (RS turned SS), w/a newly rebuilt 437hp/490ft/lbs 383 into a “rusty-rat”. Its gotta be done right, and I think they’ve done a great job here!
