Ferrari settles with Ford and changes name to F150th Italia
We reported last week that Ford were suing Ferrari over a trademark infringement because Ferrari named their new F1 race car F-150, which is the same name as Ford’s most popular pickup truck.
Ford demanded Ferrari stopped using the F150 on any products in the United States and was also seeking $100,000 in damages under the Anticybersquatting Consumer Protection Act.
Without hesitation, Ferrari quickly settled with Ford and have renamed the 2011 Formula One car – F150th Italia.
