Introducing the all new Gumpert Tornante, this new supercar is the result of a joint project between Touring Superleggera and Gumpert. It was unveiled at the 2011 Geneva motor show and will be the second edition to the Gumpert line up.
Touring Superleggera are seeing to the design and body engineering of the Tornante, while Gumpert takes care of the manufacturing and marketing.
Powering the Gumpert Tornante is a 4.2L V8 engine that kicks out 700-hp at 6,500 rpm and 663.7 lb-ft of torque at 4,000 rpm, this is the same Biturbo engine that powers the Apollo. Sending the power to the rear wheels is an automatic TT40e 6-speed gear box with paddle shift controls, this transmission offers F1 technology and can shift gears in an extremely short 40 milliseconds.
Weighing in around 2,860 pounds, the Gumpert Tornante can hit a top speed of more than 186 mph (300km/h).
