Ultimate Aero may loose fastest supercar title to the Keating TKR

I wrote an article on the SSC Ultimate Aero TT yesterday as being the fastest supercar in the world but now it has some serious competition from the Keating TKR and could possibly loose its title.

You are probably wondering who are Keating, well let me enlighten you, they are a new supercar manufacturer based in Manchester, U.K.. They currently have two supercar models, the Keating TKR and the Keating SKR.

The Keating TKR is the more powerful of the two with its 7litre V8 engine that produces an incredibly high 1,800hp.

The Keating TKR was taken to the Mojave Desert in California for testing and was recorded hitting 260mph (418) thats three mph more faster than the SSC Ultimate Aero TT.

Keating is now making plans to take their TKR hypercar back to the U.S.A. to attempt to beat the SSC Ultimate Aero TT’s record and enter the Guinness Book of World Records as being the fastest road going supercar in the world.

But if you read my article yesterday on the SSC Ultimate Aero TT, Shelby Super Cars have a new engine block for their 2009 version that gives an increase in power of 15% and they are claiming their car can now reach speeds of up to 270mph (435km/h)

So who will have the title of being the fastest supercar, will it stay with the current record holder SSC or will Keating take it away from them. We will keep you posted as new events take place.
