Koenigsegg Agera supercar

To celebrate 15 years of outstanding performance, Swedish supercar manufacturer Koenigsegg have created an all new model, the new 2011 Agera.

The World premiere of the 2011 Koenigsegg Agera will officially take place at this week’s Geneva Motor Show. Agera is a Swedish verb and when translated it means “to act”. Koenigsegg chose this name as it symbolizes the their philosophy, always striving forward.

Powering this new supercar is a twin turbo V8 engine that produces 910 horsepower.

The Agera is as wide at the front as in the rear of the car. This gives very good balance in corners and minimizes body roll.

The new traction control is the fastest reacting in the industry, with auto adapt functionality for different road conditions and driving styles as well as several manual settings.

The 2011 Koenigsegg Agera is still scheduled to undergo various tests and production is expected to start sometime in September.

Koenigsegg has also developed a new type of interior illumination, which is a worlds first in the car industry – Ghost light. The illumination shines through the billet aluminum buttons and surfaces by way of invisible nanotubes, creating excellent visibility of the symbols, as well as a very clean and stylish appearance, framed by an all-new carbon fiber center console and tunnel assembly.
