Powering the Mclaren M81 Mustang was turbo charged 2.3L engine that produced 130hp, 0 to 60 time was a 9.76 and it had a top speed of just 153 km/h (95 mph).

To improve aerodynamics and enhance the look, the Mclaren M81 Mustang was fitted with a grille-less nose, a low-riding front skirt spoiler, functional hood scoops, massive fender flares, and premium German BBS alloy wheels wearing broad-shouldered 15 inch Firestone radials.

250 units were planned but in the end only 10 were created and came with a price tag of $25,000.
