Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid at Petit Le Mans race: Video
German sports car maker Porsche has released a new video about the Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid race car. This mini documentary video talks about the Porsche hybrid’s participation in the 2010 Petit Le Mans 24 Hour race. The race car was driven by Timo Bernhard/Mike Rockenfeller (both German) and Romain Dumas (French).
The Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid finished 18th out of 41 competitor, although coming in at 18th position it was not eligible for points because the race officials considered it to be too advanced. The company considers the hybrid racer to be more of a laboratory than an actual competition vehicle.
