Smart Forspeed Concept designed for slow emission free traveling
The Smart branch of Mercedes has released a new electric concept of the tiny car and it is being called Smart Forspeed. Even though this concept car has the word speed in the name it’s far from fast and has been designed more for emission free travel.
The Smart Forspeed concept is powered by a rear-mounted 41-hp electric-motor that allows it to run from 0 to 37 mph in 5.5 seconds and up to a top speed of 75 mph (120km/h). But in case the need arises for some extra power there is an optional button which adds 7 more horses for when you need it. On a full charge, the Smart Forspeed can travel a total range of 84 miles, which is plenty enough for short city trips.
There is now news yet on whether the Forspeed will enter production but this concept car could be a look of future Smart cars.
