Lotus Esprit supercar

The British iconic supercar - Lotus Esprit was built by Lotus in the United Kingdom from 1976 to 2004. The silver Italdesign concept that eventually became the Esprit was unveiled at the Turin Motor Show in 1972, and was a development of a stretched Lotus Europa chassis. It was among the first of designer Giorgetto Giugiaro's polygonal "folded paper" designs. Originally, the name Kiwi was proposed, but in keeping with the 'E...' naming format of Lotus tradition, the name became Esprit.

Lotus has finally unveiled one of the most anticipated supercars of the year, the Lotus Esprit. The original Esprit was a British icon and became hugely famous thanks to its role in the James Bond movie, The Spy Who Loved Me. Now a new version of the car has been launched and will be available from 2013.

Jaguar C-X75 concept car: Video

To coincide with the Jaguar's unveiling of the new C-x75 electric supercar, the company have also released a serious of videos showing the car up close and also part of its development. The Jaguar C-X75 concept is powered by four electric motors kicking out a total of 800 bhp and an astonishing 1200 lb-ft of torque. All this power pushes the new Jag up to 62 mph (100km/h) in just 3.4 seconds along with a top speed of 205mph (330km/h).
