Most people think that the Bugatti Veyron is the most fastest supercar in the world but its not.

Introducing the SSC Ultimate Aero TT, most people have never even heard of this car but they should of, as it is the fastest supercar in the world.

It has a top speed of 257mph (414km/h) which is 5mph more than the Bugatti Veyron and can reach 60mph (km/h) in just 2.78 seconds.

On the 10th of September 2007 the SSC Ultimate Aero TT’s was recorded officially by the Guinness World RecordsTM as being the “Fastest Production Car” in the world. This is the first time the production speed record title has been held by a United States auto manufacturer since the Ford GT40 claimed the record in 1967.

This extremely fast car has now got even faster. Shelby Super Cars (SSC) have revealed their new 2009 version and claim it has 15% more horsepower.

The 2009 SSC Ultimate Aero TT comes with a new billet aluminum V8 engine block which improves structural integrity and oiling capabilities allowing SSC to boost the power output to 1287 horsepower while also improving durability.

Shelby Super Cars are claiming now that their 2009 SSC Ultimate Aero TT will be able to reach speeds of 270mph (435km/h) making this more of a hypercar than a supercar.

Its not just the engine that gets upgraded for 2009, the outer body has been modified and the interior has been revamped too with a new sleek carbon fiber dashboard.
