Volkswagen Camper van hot rod

Somebody has had the idea to turn a Volkswagen Camper van into an awesome hotrod and he has called it the Dune Bus.

This is what the owner has to say about his VW Camper:

“This is our family “dune bus” The whole idea started after a day of pushing pulling and changing plugs on my kids quads out in the Oregon Dunes.So over a beer around the campfire my buddy says “Hey it would be cool if you took n old VW bus and made it into a sand toy to haul your kids around”……So We did just that.

The bus is a 1976 with a stock 2.0 motor and a 5 rib trans.The only motor modification has been a header and a set of KADRONS.The rear tires are 15×15.50 terra tires and it is street legal so we can drive out of the dunes and right into town if we want.It will seat 8 people with seat belts and gets around great out in the sand.THIS BABY IS LOADS OF FUN and I have never seen another like it.”
